The Museum of Peasant Art of Romagnese

The objects of everyday life, along with the tools of farmers and craftsmen tell the story of our territory and of our ancestors' lives. The museum can be visited by telephone appointment.

The Museum of Peasant Art of Romagnese, known as M.AP.LO 4P (Lombard Apennine Museum 4 Provinces) since 2019 after a revisiting of the spaces and a multimedia implementation, is located in the Tower of the Dal Verme Castle, seat of the municipal offices and associations of the village (Pro loco, Croce Azzurra, Alpini).
It is an ethnographic museum, born thanks to donations from the families of the village of various objects of daily use and work tools, present in the ancient shops and in the houses of the farmers of the past.
As soon as you enter, you will find yourself inside the farmer's house, where you can see objects used in everyday life, while in the main room all the tools that were used by artisans or by peasants both to work and to produce subsistence food.
On the central mezzanine, annual temporary photographic exhibitions linked to traditions and the territory are set up.
Before being able to enjoy the splendid view from the highest point of the Tower, which faces Mount Pietra Corva, Mount Penice and overlooks the other valley towards the Piazza and the Church of the administrative center, there is an area dedicated to wars and the memory of the fallen, as Romagnese was a territory full of partisans and a strong resistance.
